Description

System illustration

AC power frequency high voltage withstand test (dielectric withstand test) is an electrical test performed on a test object to determine its insulation ability. The voltage withstand test system is composed of control panel, voltage regulator, high voltage transformer and high voltage current limiting resistor etc. Voltage regulator controlled by test console outputs variable AC voltage to testing transformer to generate required high voltage. The high voltage applied on the test object through current limiting resistor, meanwhile control voltage apply time and display voltage and high voltage current on the control panel. When time is up, voltage will automatically reduce to zero. When test object breakdown, it will cut off the circuit and automatically return voltage to zero.

Can communicate with partial discharge detector via serial port, partial discharge value can be read directly from control interface.

HV Current Limiting Resistor

When test object breakdown under high voltage, current will suddenly increases, which will destroy the voltage withstand test equipment, therefore it is necessary to install current limiting resistor in high voltage loop.
